Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 9:30 am–8 pm. Evergreen Supply Oriental Groceries, Southfield Groceries, Chinese-Owned. Evergreen Supply Oriental Groceries was an absolutely amazing place to shop. Chinese food is the best food, and their groceries are always exciting. This kind of variety cannot be found in any grocery store that is not from the other side of the planet. The exterior design of the store was simple yet elegant. Red roofing and yellow-painted exterior are the beautiful colors of the Chinese flag and represent the rich heritage of the Chinese people. Row after row of every exotic food one can dream of. Fish products, rice, noodles, canned fish, fresh fish, dried fish, rice cakes, mochi cakes, bean cakes, chili sauce, Asian BBQ sauce, frozen veggies, fresh veggies, chicken eggs, duck eggs, quail eggs, and much, much more. I ended up getting some crispy chili sauce, canned eel, canned fish, and broccoli. All of which turned out very well. Please stop by if you are in the area and check them out. You will not be disappointed! #chinese #asian #oriental #michigan #southfield

Only Asian market near us so I'm thankful for them. Smells like a proper Asian market when you walk in. Haha. I know some people don't like the fish market smell, but it always makes me smile. I know it's technically not a thai market, but I wish they had some more of the thai staples (galagal, lime leaves, thai basil, etc), but I will continue to shop here.

Love this store when I’m looking for specialty items - I wanted to make a classic larb gai (Thai meat salad) and needed toasted rice powder for flavor and texture. Went in for 1 item and bought five bags worth of grocery AND a 1/2 lb of the most delicious roast pork. So many unique snacks, prepared food and different cuts of meat that you get only at a real butcher.

Small store with some live seafoods (live dungarees crabs and Maine lobsters etc). The store could use a thorough cleaning and the dead crabs should be separated from live ones and definitely removed from the fish tanks. Some nice fresh produce and good selection of Chinese condiments.
